Macklemore loves Spokane and Spokane frickin' loves Macklemore. If you were lucky enough to be at last night's sold-out, completely packed-house show at the Knitting Factory, hopefully you weren't so drunk you didn't catch the fifty or so times the Seattle rapper gushed his love of all things Spokane. Not to mention that the crowd was one of the liveliest, loudest and most adoring he's apparently ever performed to. Hell yeah! (If anyone wants to argue with us that there's been a more-epic show than this one at The Knit, please let us know.)

Maybe that's because Spokanites are just too damn proud of their homeboy Ryan Lewis's role in the duo's success. And yes, he really did go to Ferris High School. It's probably fair to not rule out that in the not-so-distant future, Spokane could add Lewis to its list of musical greats now that his and Macklemore's debut album The Heist (just released last week) hit number one on iTunes. Watch out, Bing Crosby.

Macklemore more than once complimented the crowd on their snazzy attire, and even borrowed one dude's cheetah print — and rank smelling, the rapper announced to everyone — fur coat for the infamous performance (complete with the blue scooter) of his hit single "Thrift Shop." Get on YouTube and watch it right now if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Wearing the rank fur coat for "Thrift Shop." Recognize the guy in the orange suit? He and all the album's other guest performers were there. 

His tour bus was emblazoned with "Bring the Sonics Back" and other random kooky graphics that would make Washington state residents chuckle.  

We all danced, laughed, cried and had a really, really, really good time. 

The duo thanks the crowd for an awesome time.
