A WWII veteran named Delbert Belton was beaten to death by two teenagers outside Eagles Lodge in Spokane. Police described the attack as "random." One suspect has been arrested and charged. (KXLY/KHQ)

Spokane police fatally shot a man outside Salvation Army yesterday morning after he allegedly rammed patrol cars with his pickup truck and refused to obey officer commands.  The man's wife says her husband, Dan C. Jones, had multiple mental illnesses and a criminal history. (Inlander/S-R)
