Welcome to the weekend, one that includes Valentine's Day festivities for some, celebrations of being single for others. We can all get behind getting out and about the warm weather, no matter our relationship status, so take a look at our event listings and Staff Picks for some options. 

Here are some highlights that caught my eye for Friday, Feb. 13 (oooh, scary!): 

WORDS | Trent Reedy will be at Auntie's to celebrate the release of his new book, Burning Nation. 

FOOD & DRINK | Avenue West Gallery will help get you warmed up for Saturday with a Vino & Chocolate Gala. 

THEATER | If you're on the Palouse Friday night, consider a stop to see Any One of Us: Words from Prison, the Eve Ensler play that explores the connection between violence and prison for many women. It's a benefit for Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse and the V-Day campaign.
