• Iowa caucuses are tonight
Candidates crisscrossed the state making their last-minute pleas to voters. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton had an edge in the most recent polls. And over the weekend, the State Department confirmed that "top secret" material had been sent through Clinton's private server.

• Policing the police
A bill that would make it easier to bring criminal charges against police over the use of deadly force is making its way in Olympia.

• Medical pot shops are suing the state
The suit alleges that regulators are ignoring their own guidelines, handing out recreational licenses to the newest shops, rather than those that have been established and paid their taxes.
