Carrie Shriver has been a freelance writer for the
Inlander since 2024. She's been fascinated with the written word since before she could read, and remembers swiping crumpled homework assignments from her older siblings’ trash cans so she could copy those intriguing marks on the pages.
Carrie graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from Northern Arizona University. She moved to Spokane in 2012, and relishes living in a city with a river running through it. She enjoys introducing the community to the wonderful people she's had the privilege of interviewing. Her writing focuses on arts and culture, nonprofits, and informative health stories. When she isn’t voraciously reading or writing (including fiction), Carrie designs jewelry and learns new, creative arts and crafts.
Some of her recent work for the
Inlander includes a featuring on
oldies radio,
Chrysalis Gallery's inclusive model and innovative
new health treatments.
