Chase Hutchinson is a contributing film critic at the
Inlander which he has been doing since 2021. He's a frequent staple at film festivals from Sundance to SIFF where he is always looking to see the various exciting local film productions and the passionate filmmakers who make them.
Chase (or Hutch) has lived in Washington for the past decade and is an alumnus of the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma where he studied communications. Over that stretch of time, he's seen several hundred films and written nearly as many reviews. In addition to writing for a wide variety of publications such as

The Seattle Times,
The Stranger,

The Playlist,
Seattle Met, and
The News Tribune in Tacoma, where he began his journalism career, he is also a proud member of the Seattle Film Critics Society. In 2024, he was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for his review of
