Jason Baxter

Jason Baxter (he/him/reclusive cinephile) has been a professional freelance writer since the age of 18, with bylines for IGN.com, Comic Book Resources, Slashfilm.com, Bright Wall/Dark Room, and Seattle alt-weekly The Stranger, where he was a weekly columnist, features writer, and film reviewer. Since 2022, he has graced the pages of the Inlander, covering everything from the enduring appeal of the Shrek franchise to the recent resurgence of the body horror genre in multiplexes. In 2021, Jason served as the Public Relations Manager for the Seattle International Film Festival, and has since volunteered for the Make Believe Film Festival.

Jason has also been a professional musician and worked in a number of capacities in the Northwest music scene for local venues and labels. He once wrote a self-published comic book of some minor renown. He can be reached at jasonbaxt@gmail.com.
