Whitey Morgan's show scheduled for Saturday at the Knitting Factory has been postponed until a later date after he canceled his current tour through the Pacific Northwest.
After Governor Jay Inslee announced a prohibition on gatherings of 250 people or more in three Washington counties (Snohomish, King, Pierce) on Wednesday, and with public health concerns growing over the COVID-19 pandemic, many organizations in Spokane are following suit.

To make sure the public is informed of the latest changes, rather than delete information we are leaving any canceled events in our system for the foreseeable future.

So far, we've been notified that all events hosted by Spokane Public Library and Coeur d'Alene Public Library are being suspended through March 31. Spark Central, the education and tech center in Kendall Yards, has also followed suit and is suspending its programs for the rest of March, effective immediately.
Several concerts, performances and sporting events scheduled over the next several weeks have also been canceled, including this weekend's shows from musician Whitey Morgan at the Knitting Factory on Saturday and comedian Todd Barry at Spokane Comedy Club on Sunday. All NCAA basketball tournament events are also closed to spectators, including first and second round events held at the Spokane Arena.
Spokane's St. Patrick's Day Parade set for this Saturday, March 14, has also been canceled.

CONCERTS
Cher has postponed her "Here We Go Again Tour," which was set to stop at the Spokane Arena on May 2, but has rescheduled the concert for Saturday, Oct. 10. Nickelodeon star JoJo Siwa has also rescheduled her Spokane tour stop from March 29 to June 21.
READINGS
Auntie's Bookstore has canceled two upcoming readings, with author Sophie Egan on March 20 and an Inland Northwest writers panel on March 28.
SPORTS
At 1:16 pm on March 12, the NCAA tweeted that all championship basketball games, including the Division 1 tournament, have been canceled. Previously, all games were set to happen, but would have been closed to spectators.
The Spokane Chiefs have canceled their last two home games of the season, against Portland on March 13 and Tri-Cities on March 14. Fans should hold on to tickets for both games until more is known.
The returning Spokane Shock arena football team has canceled their fan fest event tonight (March 12), and are currently postponing all home games at the Arena for the 2020 season.
PERFORMING ARTS
The Best of Broadway series' touring show Once on this Island, set to perform at the First Interstate Center for the Arts on March 17 and 18, has been canceled, with no plans to reschedule at this time. Ticketholders will receive automatic refunds.
