Name a more iconic duo. I'll wait.
Calling all Dudes, Duders, El Duderinos, what have you.
It was just a year ago that the
Inlander's Suds & Cinema
celebrated the 20th anniversary of
The Big Lebowski at the Bing Crosby Theater. We had such a great time that we're showing the movie again next week on April 17 at 7 pm. Everyone, from nihilists to Eagles fans, is welcome. And Donny, you can come, too.
Tickets are on sale now, and you can buy them
here.
In case you've been living under a rock since 1998, the Coen Brothers' cultishly adored film is the shaggy-dog saga of L.A. stoner Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski, who falls backward into a convoluted noir plot involving a millionaire philanthropist, a porn impresario, an outré feminist artist, a philosophy-dispensing cowboy and a piss-stained rug.
Oh, there's some bowling, too. We'll have our own 10-pin set-up at the Bing: Our regular sponsors at Horizon Credit Union are hosting a pre-movie bowling game, and if you channel your inner Jesus, you could win a Dude-approved robe (while supplies last). Your best
Lebowski costume, meanwhile, could score you a picture in our paper.
Steam Plant Brewing will be on hand with their beers, and if you’re not into the whole gluten thing, don't worry — order up a white Russian, courtesy of Dry Fly, in the Bing's upstairs Ovations Lounge.
So come join us this Wednesday: Your presence will really tie the room together.
