Bob Seger, whose gruff voice and warmly nostalgic songs made him one of the best-selling artists in the world, is scheduled to perform with his reliable Silver Bullet Band at the
Spokane Arena on Sept. 19. The Rock and Songwriter Hall of Fame member has said this tour, dubbed "Roll Me Away," will be his last.
Starting as a utility player in 1960s Detroit, Seger toiled away in one band after another until he finally became an inescapable radio presence in the '70s and '80s as a solo artist. His hits are almost too numerous to mention: "Night Moves," "Hollywood Nights," "Still the Same," "Against the Wind," "Like a Rock," the Oscar-nominated "Shakedown" and, arguably his most enduring single, "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll."
Tickets for his Spokane stop will go for either $97 or $117, and sales start Friday, June 7, through
TicketsWest outlets.
