Josh Ritter has canceled his show at the Knitting Factory tonight, and the Idaho-born songwriter has cited the loss of his voice as a reason. "This is heartbreaking for me — I love to sing for you," Ritter wrote in a statement on his Facebook page. "Thank you for being so patient while I get my voice back."

His upcoming appearances in Vancouver and Boise have also been canceled.
Tickets are being refunded and the show is being rescheduled. In the meantime, read our interview with Ritter here.
