Yes! Statues!

Wander on over to Tubbs Hill in Coeur d'Alene and check out the new bronze statues by Terry Lee. The story about a moose named Mudgy and mouse friend named Millie came to Coeur d'Alene by way of the book by Susan Nipp, which inspired the illustrations by Charles E. Reasoner, which finally inspired the sculptures by Terry Lee. It could be the other way around, but anyway... three artists have created some new characters now happily living on Tubbs Hill. A welcoming ceremony for the characters in book and bronze form will be on Sept. 13 beginning at 11 am. Visit: www.mudgyandmillie.com.

Film Tour Pit Stop

Absinthe Films latest release Ready will be shown at the Garland Theatre on Sept. 11 at 7:30 pm. The snowboarding flick features Nicolas Muller, Kevin Pearce and more riding on snowy hills. Remember Sept. 11

Local playwright Reed McColm wrote a little tale about some fictional people trapped in the towers on Sept. 11. It should be a tear-jerker. It will be performed, readers theater-style, on Sept. 11 and Sept. 13 at 7 pm. Donations accepted. The performance will be held in the Foley Teleconference Room located on Gonzaga's campus.
