ISIS leader killed in U.S. raid

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the Islamic State leader who'd been sought for nearly a decade in Syria, died in a raid by the U.S. military this weekend, but it's not clear just how much of a blow that will be to ISIS, which has largely run independently of the leader in recent years, the New York Times reports.

Two shootings happen in downtown Spokane over weekend
Spokane Police investigated two shootings downtown this weekend that happened while Halloween partiers were out and about. One at Borracho Tacos didn't appear to injure anyone, while another with two female victims saw the arrest of a female suspect who has been booked into jail, KXLY reports.
