Nicole Kidman plays Anna, a young widow just beginning to get her life back on track after the death of her husband when she crosses paths with a strange 10-year-old boy who claims to be her dead husband reincarnated. She rejects the notion at first, yet soon finds herself unable to dismiss it completely. Needless to say, Anna's new fianc & eacute; is less than thrilled with her growing obsession and increasing contact with the kid. Rated R
White Noise
Are the dead attempting to commune with us through the static of detuned televisions and radios? White Noise wants us to believe that they are. And if you buy that, the rest of this Michael Keaton vehicle goes down easier. Keaton plays a widower reaching out through television snow (aka "Electronic Voice Phenomena") to get a word or two in with his murdered wife. Goofy? Probably. Spooky? Maybe. Rated PG-13
