Hangouts


Off Campus: The off-campus hangouts are all places to eat, including Encore Espresso and Bakery, Starbucks, the northside Onion, Didier's Yogurt, which is right off campus, and Fat Daddy's Pizza near Albertson's.


On Campus: The caf & eacute; in the Hardwick Union Building (HUB) is popular, as well as Espresso Delights. Dorm lounges are another place students gather.





Events


Homecoming weekend is Sept. 28-30. The Pirates take on Simon Fraser in the Pine Bowl on Sept. 29 at 1 pm. The fall theatre production, God's Country, starts its run on Oct. 12 in the Cowles Memorial Auditorium.





New in 2001


Boppell Hall is opening in October. This suite-style dorm will have 81 residents. This is the final year of Whitworth's $50 million fund-raising campaign for academic excellence. The School of Global Commerce and Management is new to Whitworth. Its intention is to "reflect the growth and international focus" of many different programs.
