Eight resources for keeping up on the local food scene

There's a lot to keep track of in our ever-evolving local food scene, but keeping up may be easier than you think. If you aspire to be "that" person who always knows about the hot new restaurants, here's a breakdown of all the ways the Inlander can keep you a true foodie.

Let's start with the basics. For nearly 30 years, the Inlander has kept its finger on the pulse on our local culinary scene. As the only local media outlet with a dedicated food editor, you can count on the Inlander for food content every single week, from chef profiles to trend pieces.

Several annual Inlander issues are also food-focused. The DINING OUT issue comes out every October. As restaurants transition to seasonal, fall-flavors, this is the perfect issue to help you plan your next night out. Every March, the Inlander releases the results of its BEST OF ANNUAL READERS' POLL. For more than three decades, the Inlander has been asking readers about their favorite pizza joints, sushi restaurants and happy hours. In April, look for THE MENU on Inlander stands and online. The glossy restaurant guide features stunning photography and a rich index of local eateries. Anyone who loves a good deal should make sure they don't miss the CHEAP EATS issue out every July. Two glossy magazines, INLANDER HEALTH & HOME and the ANNUAL MANUAL, include dedicated food and drink sections. Find them everywhere you find the Inlander, including Inlander Community Centers at more than 50 local grocery stores like Rosauers, Yoke's, Safeway and Super One. For food news that lands right in your inbox, sign up for ENTREE on inlander.com, and you'll receive an email every Thursday.

For an entirely immersive experience, don't miss INLANDER RESTAURANT WEEK Feb. 22 through March 2, 2024. More than 110 restaurants feature three-course meals for a set price of either $25, $35 or $45. The event guide includes all of the menus, plus chef profiles and food features. Use it during those 10 delicious days or all year long.

Find the Inlander, Annual Manual, Inlander Health & Home and many other food-filled free publications at nearly 1,000 locations all over the Inland Northwest, including in the lobby of 50+ area grocery stores.
