Another Friday has come at last and we’re just happy it isn’t raining for this weekend. Get a load of all the music you should check out in the next few days.
FRIDAY
Tonight is a big night for Spokane. Not only is it First Friday, but there’s also a Visual Arts Tour kicking off, and last but notleast, Terrain arts and music festival hits for one night only.Sure, Terrain is mostly known for the 200-plus artists it features,but there are 10 awesome bands performing for the one-night-only as well, and this year they even have abigger stage to do it from. The main goal of the event, starting tonight at 5 pm at 1011 W. First Ave., is to celebrate emerging local artists, but the promoters also want to expose people to creativity outside of the area, which is why the two music headliners come from other places — The Pack a.d. hails from Vancouver, B.C., and The Hood Internet, Chicago. A jury selected theother eight up-and-coming acts (all ones you should be getting excited about).Be sure to show up early — the event is free and all-ages but the space fills tocapacity quickly. There were be speakers outside blasting the inside productionjust in case.

-The Spokane Valley Eagles are hosting a local Battle of the Bands featuring Ashley Honnell, Black Hills Hold, Texas Twister, Johnny & the Moondogs, Mingo, Kenny Walker and Oasis, you’ll have to show up to find out who wins. The event starts at 2 pm and proceeds go to Toys for Tots.
SUNDAY
Pickwick rages into town once more to unleash its souled-out sound at nYne. The show starts at 8 pm and costs $14 at the door. Thenew, yet-unopened music venue, The Bartlett is sponsoring this one.
Also, it looks like Bon Jovi is making the rounds at the Spokane Arena. Oh yes. Tickets are still available.
