Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane will not face rape charges, prosecutors announced yesterday, citing a lack of credible evidence and a case "rife with reasonable doubt."
A well-respected police officer in Illinois was not shot and killed while pursuing three criminals, as officials originally thought. Instead, Lt. Joseph Gliniewicz staged an elaborate crime scene to mislead detectives before shooting himself. Gliniewicz has been laundering money for years from a police department program that supported youth hoping to become cops. The Washington Post reports that he spent the money on travel, gym memberships and porn among other things.
