Celebrated local chef and entrepreneur Adam Hegsted opened Francaise in the former Casper Fry in the Perry neighborhood in summer 2022. The Eat Good Group restaurant features a contemporary spin on French classics like pate de campagne (country pâté) served with traditional grainy mustard, cornichon pickles and walnuts, and confit de canard a l'orange (slow-cooked duck with orange sauce). The decor is an eclectic mix of original and reproduction art, French-inspired wallpaper and curtains, and the industrial furnishings and exposed brick from the prior tenant of the 1910 building.
