Sometimes you need a reminder that there's beauty amongst all the darkness in the world. On rare occasions, the relief can come from the sonic joy of a truly great band. On Monday night at the Knitting Factory, Canadian indie rocker act Alvvays delivered one of those sets. Mixing tunes from its three acclaimed LPs, the group delivered a dreamy soundscape for frustrated fantasizers and proved why it's one of the best bands on the planet. Alvvays for always.
