For years Inland Northwest music fans knew they could take a trek across the Cascades every Labor Day weekend to get their festival fix at Bumbershoot in Seattle. But the combo of mismanagement by various past festival promoters and the COVID-era concerting pause meant that the event hadn't been held since 2019. That changed last weekend as throngs of folks descended on Seattle for two days of music, art and more. Bumbershoot is back — at least for now — and here are some (mostly chronological) shots to prove it.
